Only produced in the very best of vintages in small volumes, this wine is the very best that Gibbston Valley produce. The founder of Gibbston, Alan Brady, was the first to grow grapes in the region back in the 1980s. Locals dubbed him mad and were sure he?????d fail. How could grapes grow surrounded by snow-capped mountains in an environment with such harsh and extreme weather conditions? Guess who was right! This wine is rich and powerful but has the silky, soft tannins and ripe fruit synonymous with reds from this grape growing region. An outstanding wine that will cellar for up to 20 years.
