Hauner Malvasia delle Lipari (sweet wine) DOC, Sicily 2014 (375ml)

95% Malvasia delle Lipari + 5% Corinto Nero. grapes are not only late-harvested, they are also dried on mats or racks (the traditional cannizzi which take their name from canne, reeds) for 15 to 20 days. Color is gorgeous, amber with sunny golden reflections, the bouquet is both lusciously impressive and graceful, richly reminiscent of dried figs, dates, ripe apricots, honey and sweet spice. The palate is velvety and complex, with delicate sweetness that does not pall and is sustained by a vein of flavorful freshness.
