Bright straw. Explosive aromas of redcurrant, pear, fig, white flowers and toasty lees. Broad and fleshy on entry, then brighter and more linear in the middle, offering intense orchard fruit and red berry flavors lifted and sharpened by juicy minerality. Finishes spicy and long, with lingering spiciness and a touch of honeysuckle. The 2010 is a Vall?e de la Marne, Coeur de Cuv?e (heart of the free-run) blend of 35% old vines Pinot Noir from Mareuil, 20% Pinot from A?, 25% old-vines Chardonnay from Mareuil, and 20% Chard from Oiry and Chouilly.
